Our multi-functional coconut oil is so versatile, you’ll wonder what you ever did without it! Coconut oil contains plenty of saturated fats, and its properties make the oil a good option for frying and cooking. Unlike other more delicate vegetable oils, coconut oil does not release toxic chemicals when heated, and high temperatures do not alter its chemical composition. 

Organic coconut oil is at its best when used in frying or baking. It is an excellent option for vegan cooks, as it can be used from frying banana pancakes to adding fullness to spicy Asian vegetable sauces. The oil also finds its place in the bathroom, where it morphs into a moisturiser or hair mask. The bedroom also benefits from coconut oil – use it as massage oil or lubricant.  

Foodin’s Fair Trade coconut oil is produced by gentle cold press in low temperature. The oil is pressed from fresh coconuts that have been farmed with respect towards nature and humans. Forest farming provides special attention to the maintenance of biodiversity and the environment, and the coconuts are picked by climbing tree branches, or with a sharp blade attached to a long stick.  

The coconuts are pressed within two hours of picking after peeling and washing. This ensures that the flavour of the oil remains as fresh as possible. The Fair Trade certification ensures a fair compensation for the farmers for their work, and enables the improvement of farming conditions.  

Store protected from sunlight. The oil melts to liquid in temperatures above 25 degrees Celsius, but this does not affect the quality or usage of the oil.
